Multan Sultan declared its 20 players squad for Pakistan Super League third edition. Team includes very experienced T20 players who played plenty of cricket around the world. Multan Sultan is new team in PSL 3 2018 and plenty of hopes will be from him. It is now richest franchise from all previous one. Multan Sultan team will lead by Shoaib Malik who got plenty of experience in T20 cricket while very experienced Kumar Sangakkar and Kieron Pollard are included in it.

Sixth team in PSL T20 2018 edition Multan Sultan has appointed former Australian player “Tom Moody” as head coach. This announcement was made by President of Multan Sultan team “Wasim Akram” (who recently joined the team) during a ceremony in Karachi to launch the team’s Logo & Kit. Wasim Akram previously attached with Islamabad United in PSL 2016 & 2017 edition and now he joined the Multan Sultan team as president and bowling coach.

Multan Sultan Kit:

Wasim Akram said during ceremony while announcing Tom Moody as head coach of Multan Sultan team “Tom Moody has vast experience in the field of coaching especially in franchise-based cricket. His presence will be very helpful for the team and lead the team into new heights”.

Tom Moody already remained the coach of Indians Premier League (IPL) franchise name Sunrises Hyderabad and in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) for Rangpur Riders team. He also remained the head coach of Sri Lankan national team in 2005 – 2007. Tom Moody was not present at the ceremony but after ceremony he sent a video massage.

Moody said that “I am very excited to be a part of PSL franchise Multan Sultan team. Great things are ahead for the new side in the PSL. We are looking forward to working with all the local talent and putting together a great team for the success in the future”.

Tom Moody was also happy to partnering-up with old mate Wasim Akram. Tom Moody belongs to Australia and he played 76 One Day International (ODI) matches and 08 Test Matches for Australia. His ODI debut was against India at Chennai in October 1987 while test debut was against New Zealand at Perth in Nov 1989. He not played much international cricket but his experience of coaching is good and it will be helpful for Multan Sultan (New franchise in PSL) to perform well in its first presence in PSL 2018.
