PSL 2016 History, Records & Complete Matches Details

The PSL (Pakistan Super League) 2016 was the first season of PSL t20 league. It was the first time when Pakistan cricket board decided that they will organize Pakistan cricket super league. Everyone was excited because those days Pakistan was in trouble because no international team wanted to play even a single match in Pakistan grounds. Due to some security reason it was impossible to play PSL 2016 matches in Pakistan. After many conferences Pakistan cricket board (PCB) management decided that for us it is important to organize Pakistan league no mean where it will be played. So they decided that all the matches will be played in United Arab Emirates and the final match of PSL first session will be played in Dubai. Pakistan cricket board was in hope that after the success on first session, some matches or May final match of PSL will play in Pakistan ground. The main purpose of this league is that PCB thought that this league will open the way of international cricket in Pakistan. And above it, this league will also produce future legends.

First Session Information:

First session of PSL (Pakistan Super League) was design in such a fantastic way. There were five teams in this tournament and tournament was held from 4 February 2016 to 23 February 2016. All matches played in United Arab Emirates. 24 t20 matches played in this session. Each team played two matches against each team. Each team could have maximum 20 players including both Pakistani and international players but each team was allowed to pick just six foreign players. In each match, each team was allowed to pick four foreign players and 7 Pakistani players in eleven side team. All the matches played efficiently. Everyone became happy and first session completed in good way. PSL Points Table 2016:

PSL 2016 session started with full energy. Islamabad and Quetta played first match. Here is an interesting thing in this session that those teams who started this league also completed this league. I mean to say like first match Islamabad and Quetta also played PSL 2016 final. First match won Quetta but the final of this session won Islamabad and won this title in a good way. Different types of songs singed for first league and also for each franchise. Each ground filled with crowd. Imagination, adventure, up, down or many other thing included in this session. PSL 2016 Awards

Those players who did well in matches and played well than other players also got awards by PCB. The player of the tournament declared Ravi Bopara. This player showed fantastic game in this session. Ravi Bopara scored 329 runs and also took 11 wickets in this tournament and got man of the tournament award. Ander Russell of Islamabad declared the highest wicket taker bowler in the tournament. He took 16 wickets at the average of 17.25 and got most wicket taker award. Umar Akmal of Lahore Qalandar was the leading run scorer in PSL first session. He scored 335 run at the average of 83.75 and got leading run scorer award. Umar Akmal also took another award. He took 7 catches in the tournament and got most catch taker award.
